Privacy & Logging Policy

We want to be clear: MawVPN keeps logs. This is required of VPN providers in India and lets us help law enforcement when someone misuses the service.

What we collect

• Account: name, e-mail, mobile number (if given), hashed password, time/IP/browser of sign-up, login and terms acceptance.
• Devices: a one-way hash of a hardware identifier, platform, app version, last IP.
• Connections: start/end time, your real IP address, the VPN IP assigned to you, bytes sent/received, server used.
• Traffic metadata: time, protocol, destination IP and port (and hostname for proxy/extension connections). We do not record the content of your traffic, web pages, passwords or messages.
• Payments: order, amount, gateway reference. We never see or store card/UPI credentials; those stay with the payment gateway.

Why and for how long

To run the service, prevent fraud and trial abuse, protect other users and comply with the law. Logs are kept for 5 years. They are stored in tamper-evident form so they can serve as electronic evidence.

Who sees it

Only authorised staff. We disclose data only to courts and authorities under valid legal process, or to our payment/e-mail providers to deliver the service. We do not sell data and do not use AI services on your personal data.

Your rights

Write to support@mawanta.com to access or correct your account data. Legally required logs cannot be erased before the retention period ends.
